Survivor Uncorks A Charity Winner - Herald Sun

Black Saturday survivor David Laity knows first-hand the work volunteers do in an emergency. In the days after losing ghis home in the fatal fires of 2009, he joined the Country Fire Authority firefighters in a bid to help.

But his generous actions didn't stop there.

Mr Laity, 44, volunteers for Woodend CFA and has raised $425,000 for charities through selling wine.

With the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal donations he received, he set up Goodwill Wine, from which people can buy quality wine. Half of the profit goes to an organisation or charity of their choice.
