NOSE - Nashi pear and rose petals open with delicate, aromatic charm, herbal notes drifting through behind. Fragrant, distinctive, and not quite like anything you'd expect from this address.

PALATE - Nashi pear and rose petal carry through from the nose with quiet continuity, herbal undertones adding gentle complexity. The skin fermentation has lent a texture that sits beautifully alongside the bright, cool-climate freshness - present, considered, and increasingly interesting as the wine opens up. A wine still finding its full voice, with more complexity likely to develop over time.

NOTES - Twenty-five percent of a normal harvest. Not enough for the usual white wine, and not a season to waste. So the decision was made - skin fermentation, pink wine, something entirely new from the southernmost vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula. The result is artisanal, small-batch, and quietly unlike anything else in the range. Nashi pear, rose petals, and herbal notes now, with the promise of greater complexity ahead. A creative pivot born of necessity that turned out to be worth every unconventional decision that led to it. Pinot Gris fermented on skins. Small-batch, artisanal production. Southernmost vineyard, Flinders, Mornington Peninsula.
