NOSE - Blueberry and blackcurrant open with quiet confidence, choc-mint and graphite adding a cool, mineral edge. Cola, liquorice, and Davidson's plum drift through beneath - complex, layered, and already suggesting something worth paying attention to.

PALATE - Blackcurrant and gentle leather lead with elegant cool-toned precision, lavender blossom adding an unexpected floral lift through the mid-palate. Blueberry and blood orange arrive at the finish alongside a clean tomato leaf brightness that keeps everything refreshing and alive. The tannins are fine and lacy, the acidity present and purposeful - medium-bodied, effortless, and possessed of a claret-style polish that feels entirely unhurried.

NOTES - Cabernet Sauvignon has deep roots in the Yarra Valley - and this is a reminder of what the variety looks like when it's given elevation, cool air, and the restraint to pick early and let freshness lead. Wild fermented, unfined, unfiltered, only 300 bottles made. Several years in bottle has brought this to exactly where it needs to be - blueberry, graphite, lavender, tomato leaf, lacy tannins, and a finish that lingers without overstaying. Old-school Yarra Cab at its most effortless. Leave it on the table all night and keep coming back to it. That's the point.
