NOSE - White peach and citrus blossom lead, mandarin peel and grapefruit adding quiet brightness, a hint of toasted oak and sweet marshmallow drifting through underneath. Flinty and lifted - fresh without being simple.

PALATE -  Stone fruit and citrus open with easy clarity, lemon and grapefruit sharpening the mid-palate before cream and a gentle doughy richness round everything out. The acidity is bright and natural, the oak integrated and textural rather than assertive, the finish clean and lingering with a savoury, moreish edge that keeps you coming back. Medium-bodied, generous, and considerably more interesting than it lets on.

NOTES - Wild fermented, hand-picked, only 960 bottles made — this is a Chardonnay that knows exactly what it is and has no interest in being anything else. Cool-climate stone fruit and citrus, creamy texture without heaviness, bright acidity that makes it as good with food as it is without. The kind of wine that quietly converts the unconvinced without ever making a point of it. Cellar until 2029 if you have the discipline. Drink it now if you don't.
