NOSE - White petal and pear open softly, almond and marzipan drifting in behind, mandarin peel and a whisper of honey adding quiet intrigue. Flinty and lifted beneath it all. This is a complex wine from the very first breath.

PALATE -  Citrus and grapefruit arrive bright and focused, apricot and fleshy peach emerging as the wine opens up, cream and white pepper threading through to a finish that is textural, warm, and gently spiced. The acidity and phenolics weave together with an elegance that feels almost architectural - present and purposeful, never intrusive. Smooth, layered, and very very interesting.

NOTES - A single acre of unirrigated vines at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges, hand-picked late into a cool and patient 2023 vintage, wild yeast fermented, unfiltered, and left to find itself in barrel until ready. Only 2400 bottles exist. Marsanne is one of those varieties that rewards the curious - textural and bright in youth, deepening into something altogether more complex over time, with a drink window that stretches a decade or more for those with the patience to find out. This is French-style white winemaking in the Yarra Valley at its most considered. A genuine discovery, best served with a modest chill and an open mind. Don't overlook it.
