NOSE - Dark and concentrated, blackberry and plum leading with intense richness, dried fruit and dark chocolate adding depth. A whisper of leather and spice threading through - powerful, complex, and entirely serious.

PALATE - Dense, rich, and full of character - the concentration of shriveled grapes evident in every sip. Dark fruit, chocolate, and spice fill the palate with a warmth and weight that demands food and patience in equal measure. The tannins have softened with age into something richer and more generous, the finish long and deeply satisfying.

NOTES - Shriveled grapes, 16% alcohol, and nearly two decades of bottle age. This is a wine that was always going to be a statement - full-bodied, intensely concentrated, and built for the long haul. Peter Beckingham made something almost impossibly rich here and the years have only deepened it. Museum stock from a winemaker who has never been afraid to push limits. Approach with respect and a hearty meal.
