PALATE - Dark fruit arrives with confidence, the savoury, woodsy character threading through the mid-palate alongside fine spice, French oak lending shape without ever overpowering the fruit. The texture is silky and smooth, tannins supple and unobtrusive, allowing the site itself to take centre stage. The finish is prolonged and considered - the kind that lingers because it has something to say.

NOTES - The Macedon Ranges is the coolest grape-growing region on mainland Australia - elevation and wind-chill conspiring to produce small numbers of genuinely high-quality fruit. This is what that climate makes possible: a Pinot Noir of real depth and structure, wild yeast fermented in open tank with 15% whole bunch input, ten months in French oak barriques, and a clear sense that quality was never going to be compromised for volume. Confident, grounded, and entirely site-driven. Cellar it for five years or more and watch the complexity deepen further. This is terroir given room to speak - and the steady hands that knew exactly when to step back.
