NOSE - Dried strawberries and red cherries lead with quiet elegance, rhubarb adding a tart, earthy lift. Fragrant, precise, and already suggesting something worth paying attention to.

PALATE - Red cherry and berry arrive with bright clarity, rhubarb threading through alongside spicy oak and tangy acidity. The tannins are soft and elegant, the structure surprisingly assured for such a difficult season. Pure, balanced, and different in character to what came before - not despite the vintage, but because of it.

NOTES - The 2022 season on the Mornington Peninsula was punishing. High winds in Spring 2021 devastated flowering, leaving yields at less than 20% of the longtime average. Five fermentation vats became one. Only 10% whole bunches. What came through the other side was a Pinot Noir of uncommon purity and structure - handcrafted at the southernmost vineyard on the Peninsula, cool-climate precision intact, the fruit concentrated by adversity into something quietly remarkable. A rare vintage from a rare season.
