A gutsy wine with superb mouthfeel.
NOSE - Bright eyed black current with a tea spoon of jammy plum. Cellar door floor is there with a faint waft of freshly cooked tomato sauce.
PALATE - This full bodied red is deep ruby in colour with brawny acid. The tannins are dry and grippy- ripper Rita! There's black currant and plum simmering while freshly cracked green pepper ruminates with the sweet smell of cooking tomato drifting behind.
NOTES - We hope you can smell and taste the hint of garden picked tomato cooking on the gas burner, it’s one of our favourite aroma/flavour wine tasting experiences. It’s just ridiculously delicious and a homage to a past. There are moments when smells connect with memories and these connect with our emotions and suddenly you have an affinity for something in the now that is rooted to the distant past. Freshly cooked tomatoes for us is one of these. You won’t be disappointed with this drop. It’s gutsy with a badass mouth feel, you’ll be licking your chops. Go on wear the dolmio grin! hahah…..
