A Cambrian soil superhero. It’s all red plum love here with a sprinkle of black pepper, minerality, a blueberry or two and a lick of vanilla bean.

NOSE - Ripe plum covered in droplets of early morning dew along with fleshly cherry and the beckoning of wild blackberry. There’s also a lifted violet, fruit cake and leather saddle combo ready to gift.

PALATE - This medium bodied red is deep ruby in colour with polite tannins that do not overstay their welcome. Rich plum is the undercurrent with balanced acid and minerality at play in all directions. Vanilla trails and passes out at the end of a big day.

NOTES - This red feels like all things Christmas. The intense aromas of the buffet lunch along with extra special touch of freshly cut flowers and aromatic candles burning on the hallway table. The anticipation of good times. It’s intoxicating as it draws you in. You won’t be disappointed. Ho ho ho….
Heathcote’s Cambrian soils formed over 500 million-years ago and are ideal for viticulture. Deep, rich, decomposed greenstone rock with soil depths up to 2m allow vine roots to reach deep into the sub soil where moisture is more consistent, in turn protecting the plants against extremes of drought and temperature. These soils are amongst the oldest in the world making for complex wines with extraordinary minerality.
