NOSE - Lofty pear stands proud, apple is not missing out. There's a good shake of nut as well as beeswax. Lemon curd joins in for a group hug.

PALATE - This light to medium bodied dry white is pale grass-lemon in colour. Lemon and lime push to the front to get a good seat with green apples vying for a spot. There's also a healthy palmful of nut adding texture and an inkling of beeswax to tie it all together.

NOTES - Fancy a glass of Arneis? What a smashing idea, I say. The horizon is vast and so is the world of wine. This drop originating from Italy reminds us of a cross between a cool climate chardonnay and an aged riesling. Lean acidic fruit meets textured minerality in a slow seductive dance. On the palate it’s got fruit, it’s got nuts, it's got texture, and it's been genie-ing in a bottle for over eleven years allowing it to develop beautiful secondary notes. Italian varieties are all the rage at the moment and it is no surprise that Arneis has been leading the charge. Broaden your buds, give it a rub, the time for wishing is now.
