Shiraz 2022, McLaren Vale SA

NOSE - Languishing plum with the encouragement of blueberry. There's also some vanilla bean goodness and a dab of liquorice.

PALATE - This medium bodied dry red is inky/purple in colour with cheeky persistent tannins and lovely acid. Hints of blueberry bob up and down, while black pepper swims confidently with purpose on the tongue. Chocolate lingers once the others have packed up and gone.

NOTES - This red reminds us of a family meal around the table and wine poured with generosity, honesty and ease. This vino is uncomplicated with laid back fruit and self-assured pepper. Spice is all the go with this number. If you are fortunate to find a glass of this in hand, it's advisable to kick back, relax and go nowhere in a hurry. Oh, and the winemaker is a living legend in McLaren Vale and this wine is organic :)

Retailing for $35 from its vineyard, this is a lovely Shiraz and at our price is really great value.
