NOSE - A cooler vintage has brought an abundance of herbs and spices to the mix. Fresh thyme, oregano and pepper notes add to the red berry fruits and deep violet florals.

PALATE - The medium bodied palate reveals more complex nuances in both flavour and texture. Crunchy, rich red plums and raspberry fruit flavours step up, with mixed green herbs adding to the wonderful depth of character. The tannins are youthful, fine and grippy and the acidity; complimentary and in balance. This is sophisticated wine perfect for matching with food.

NOTES - This red reminds us of a family meal around the table and wine poured with generosity, honesty and ease. Made by one of our favourite McLaren Vale winemakers and rested in a mix of second and third fill puncheons and hogsheads for 12 months, this is a beautiful wine to be enjoyed with good food. Certified organic, it is guaranteed to impress and we have been lucky to secure 44 cases of this organic beauty.

Retailing for $35 from its vineyard, this is a lovely Shiraz and at our price represents excellent value.
